Office Building Lighting — Grade A Tower, Shenzhen

Project Overview

A 40-floor Grade A office tower in Shenzhen's CBD required a human-centric lighting system for its open-plan floors, meeting rooms, and executive suites. The developer required LEED compliance, UGR<19 throughout, and a tunable white system to support occupant wellbeing.

Engineering Solution

DansLED engineered a custom recessed linear system with micro-prismatic diffusers achieving UGR<16, tunable white LED modules with 90+ CRI across the full CCT range, and DALI-2 drivers with integrated daylight sensor compatibility. A custom aluminum extrusion was developed to match the 600mm ceiling grid module.

Result

18,000 linear meters installed across 40 floors. The building achieved LEED Gold certification. Post-occupancy surveys reported a 28% improvement in occupant satisfaction with lighting quality compared to the previous building.
